Yeah, I just reblogged another quote from this interview, but this is good enough to blog too. I love Sorkin. I want him to do another tv show, especially an HBO show. And I could not agree with him more here. I too am a big fan of oratory, and the last eight years have been missing it, at least from a presidential perspective.

so the guy in the deli near work i sometimes go to (but haven’t been in a while) just spoke to me in spanish. and then apologized when i gave him a really puzzled look. this is the second time in a week someone has spoken spanish to me thinking i would understand. odd.

Cerveris and Gemignani to Star in Sondheim's ROAD SHOW (Formerly BOUNCE) at Public Theater: Even though the last incarceration of Bounce was apparently a little bit of a cluster-fuck, and regardless of how this version does, any ‘new’ Sondheim show is cause for celebration. The B.A. from Georgetown is probably why you were rejected. There is such a thing as being overqualified. Also you probably wouldn’t have stayed around long enough for you to be worth the investment in training you. And like so many situations, I think Ann Patchett says it best in Truth and Beauty:
